So I went searching. I tasted 112 samples from growers across Japan and then compared them with the best-selling brands available in the Czech Republic. In total, I tested over 120 different matchas. For weeks my office was covered in green dust, bowls and bamboo whisks scattered everywhere. My team thought I had gone completely mad. But then came the moment I had been waiting for.
